8 Steps to Effective Christian Leadership

Cleaning up your act as a Christian leader is the most crucial thing you can do. If there is anything about your moral or ethical behavior that would not hold up under scrutiny if the entire world knew about it, you need to get rid of it right away.  Make sure no one has a reason to believe you are a hypocrite

Make sure every choice you make is morally righteous and honest.  Whether you identify as a Christian or not, you cannot lead effectively if your choices and deeds are not lawful, just, and honest

As a Christian leader, swear to always speak the truth.  When you lie or tell half-truths as a Christian leader, people tend to think that your entire faith is a lie. sham.  If you frequently tell lies and half-truths, your faith may be a fraud

Acquire as much knowledge as you can about the tasks at hand, even if that means spending some time digging in the dirt.  Nobody enjoys following someone who has never performed the task at hand.  You only need to participate in the tedious work long enough to recognize its frustrating aspects; you don't need to become an expert.  Another advantage of doing this is that you can more easily come up with solutions to problems as they arise once you have completed the work

Set a good example.  Do you demand that your secretaries and employees show up to work on time and in appropriate attire?  If so, you must follow suit.  It can be so simple to feel as though you have earned the right to come in whenever you please or to leave for lunch whenever you please.  You may have earned the right, but setting a good performance example will benefit you much more.  Do you anticipate others to put in extra time when a project is running behind schedule?  If so, you must be prepared to follow suit

Even though you might think you've earned the right to hand off all the work, keep working on worthwhile projects.  In addition to earning the respect of your staff, doing some of the work helps you stay current with events.  As a boss, It is simple to lose focus on the parts of your business that are productive, which leads to decisions being made that sound and look good in a boardroom setting but are useless in reality

Regularly assess your performance.  You may frequently spend so much time correcting the mistakes of others and resolving problems that you didn't cause that you begin to believe that other people aren't as competent as you are.  As a result, you might not notice when you start developing bad habits that also need to be changed.  Recognize and address your shortcomings first.

Be humble.  Being in a position of leadership is simple once you are skilled at what you do. to start thinking that you are unbeatable.  Once that happens, you are more susceptible to pride and might make choices that you would find objectionable if your subordinates made them.  Always take full responsibility for your decisions and ethically conduct yourself

Bonus Action

Develop time management skills.  It is simple to lose track of your time when you hold a leadership position and find yourself assigning the majority of the time-consuming tasks to others.  Once more, if your staff sees you wasting time, they will probably do the same probabe
